Design
Pilia is a collection of home accessories that are made by using two manufacturing techniques; plastic recycling and traditional wood-turning. Firstly, we shred the plastic wastes into powders and re-cast them into a simple box. Secondly, we shape the box of the plastic with wood-turning machine. The process can be done with simple hand tools and does not require a lot of energy. The collection consists of vase, small container, and paperweight.
