Re-Bykle
Innovative and Tech Projects
As climate change continues to worsen and the world desperately chases after concepts of sustainability, we have been thinking about how to make our conscious contribution and underline it to people. The result is Re-Bykle, a bench-bike rack designed for outdoor public places. Its name refers to the word “recycle”, in fact Re-bykle is entirely made up of waste materials: specifically, the stuctural skeleton is composed of old gas pipes which have been covered with grinded recycled plastic from exhausted fruit crates and bottle caps collected around the neighborhood. This project is part of the Urbanism of Kindness project of the Repubblica del Design association andin particular of the programme “Da Cosa Nasce Cosa”.
