Waves – outdoor benches
Urban and Public Design
The plastic waves were produced by Eburet Studio team and designed by Olga Naydenova. We are located in the city of Saint Petersburg which built on islands among the rivers on the coast of the Gulf of Finland. Water is an inseparable part of our city and water inspired us to create these art objects for urban and public spaces. The waves are a set of outdoor benches, the concept of which invites a person to come up with their own way of interacting with Waves, such as sitting, lying down, reading, hugging, taking pictures, moving them and much more. Eburet Studio is a young design studio of interior items made from recycled materials. Created in April 2021. We would like to change consumer attitudes towards items from recycled materials by creating impressive design. Our intention is to popularize recycled plastic and make it a natural resource for production, because recycled plastic is not inferior in quality, functionality and aesthetics to the primary. 3D printing technology allows us to create new types of furniture structures, avoiding the usual idea of interior items. We experiment with color concentrates, their gradients and different types of plastics. The Waves are printed from recycled polystyrene from yogurt production waste. We belief that plastic Waves have no place in the waters and should be placed in beautiful urban and public spaces.
